The International MEITA IoT Challenge 2021 is now officially open and we invite you to come out with your best ideas on IoT Innovation for the Mangrove Sustainability!
On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to announce that MEITA Project and
Collaborators will be organizing the International MEITA IoT Challenge 2021. MEITA or ‘Sustainable
Aquatic Resource Management via Internet of Things Application’ is an EU funded project under the
Trans-Eurasia Information Network (TEIN) programme through Asi@Connect project. The challenge
will bring together university students from over 8 countries to come out with an IoT Innovation for
the Mangrove Sustainability.
The event aims to:
• To give insights on the use of IoT for Environmental Sustainability (specifically Mangrove
Ecosystem).
• To educate developers on the recent issues and challenges in the mangrove’s ecosystem.
• To come out with new solutions for the mangrove ecosystem through the use of technology
(IoT, Robotics, & AI).
• To encourage organizations for future collaboration on Environmental Sustainability using IoT.
The MAIN THEME of the challenge:
• Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The TOPICS of the challenge include (but are not limited to):
• Mangrove Ecosystem
• Biodiversity
• Water Quality
• Socioeconomics
All university students (undergraduate/postgraduate) are invited to
participate regardless of your field of study (Biology/Engineering/Education
etc.) as training will be given.
Total prizes of RM 10,000++ (around 2,000++ Euro) to be won!
Certificates will be provided!
